Are there dental implant side effects?
It is extremely rare for patients to experience side effects from dental implants and in particular titanium; it is widely used in medical care due to its biocompatible nature. In rare instances, symptoms like redness and skin irritation such as eczema may occur. A complete remission follows when implants are removed. Alternative to titanium implants are being developed and tested currently but it will be some time before they come into common everyday use and demonstrate the reliability and flexibility of titanium implants.
