I get food caught between my teeth. Can I fix this?
Food gets caught in the spaces or gaps that may develop between teeth. These spaces are often caused by poor quality fillings that when placed, do not, butt up against the tooth immediately next to the new filling.
Although not a serious problem in the short term, this situation often requires a lot more effort in keeping your teeth clean. Food often packs down hard between the teeth making it difficult to remove and in time may cause gum pain and infection.
The solution is to replace the filling or consider other restorative options if a good fitting filling is not possible.
