What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is an alternative to conventional braces and was designed with the patient in mind. Invisalign uses a series of clear, custom-made aligners to gradually move your teeth into their desired position. These aligners are virtually invisible, comfortable to wear and easy to remove. Simply take them out for special occasions and brush and floss as normal throughout your treatment.

Your Invisalign treatment consists of a series of nearly invisible, removable aligners that you change every two weeks for the next set of aligners. Each aligner is individually manufactured for your teeth, and your teeth only. As you replace each aligner, your teeth will move – little by little, week by week – until they have straightened to the final position prescribed by your dental specialist (Orthodontist). Once treatment is completed, the achieved result is  of “retained” in position by some of retainer. These can be fixed (non removable) or removable (Trutain retainers). Removable retainers rely on patient compliance and failure to wear them routinely may lead to tooth drifting or movement.

When it comes to Invisalign, experience matters. Discuss your options with an experienced specialist orthodontist.
